Robert started his legal career representing clients in various facets of employment law including wage and hour, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in both the State and Federal Court. Many of these involved a crossover with worker’s compensation matters including Labor Code § 132a claims. Due to many of these crossovers, Robert began practicing worker’s compensation to “complete the circle” of employment litigation. Robert has represented insurance companies/employers in various worker’s compensation claims and has been able to obtain favorable outcomes through settlements and dismissals.

Susie spent the first half of her legal career in civil litigation, defending a broad variety of insured businesses, public and quasi-public entities, and homeowners against a wide range of legal claims, handling cases from slip and falls to wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, construction defects, and more.  She argued and tried matters in Superior Courts throughout California and before the Second District Court of Appeal.  Ready for a change, she found a natural transition from representing general liability and homeowner insurers to workers compensation carriers and self-insured employers.  Susie’s prior civil experience in discovery and motion practice, mediations and arbitrations, and trials has served her well in the workers compensation arena, where she has continued to achieve successful outcomes by way of settlements, dismissals, and trial decisions. She has now over 10 years’ experience and appears in all Southern California venues.  In her free time, Susie enjoys adventures with her family, including Boston Terrier Django and Pug Jules.  She also finds her joy in birding, including creating an ecosystem for birds and pollinators at home.
