Robert started his legal career representing clients in various facets of employment law including wage and hour, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in both the State and Federal Court. Many of these involved a crossover with workers’ compensation matters including Labor Code § 132a claims. Due to many of these crossovers, Robert began practicing workers’ compensation to “complete the circle” of employment litigation. Robert has represented insurance companies/employers in various workers’ compensation claims and has been able to obtain favorable outcomes through settlements and dismissals.

Susie spent the first half of her legal career in civil litigation, defending a broad variety of insured businesses, public and quasi-public entities, and homeowners against a wide range of legal claims, handling cases from slip and falls to wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, construction defects, and more.  She argued and tried matters in Superior Courts throughout California and before the Second District Court of Appeal.  Ready for a change, she found a natural transition from representing general liability and homeowner insurers to workers’ compensation carriers and self-insured employers.  Susie’s prior civil experience in discovery and motion practice, mediations and arbitrations, and trials has served her well in the workers’ compensation arena, where she has continued to achieve successful outcomes by way of settlements, dismissals, and trial decisions. She has now over 15 years’ experience in workers’ compensation and appears in all Southern California venues.  In her free time, Susie enjoys adventures with her family, including Boston Terrier Django and Pug Jules.  She also finds her joy in birding, including creating an ecosystem for birds and pollinators at home.

Diana brings more than 20 years of litigation experience to her workers’ compensation defense practice, representing insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers. She handles claims from initial evaluation through trial, settlement, and post-award proceedings, including complex matters involving cumulative trauma, disputed medical causation, apportionment, and coverage.

Before joining Hora Law Firm, Diana spent more than a decade as staff counsel for AmTrust and CNA, gaining firsthand insight into the legal and financial considerations that guide claims decisions. At AmTrust, she also served as a Team Leader, mentoring attorneys and conducting training with claims professionals. Her earlier practice included construction defect, business, and civil litigation.

Diana takes a practical, direct approach to defense, identifying the issues that drive exposure and providing clear recommendations on when to litigate and when resolution makes business sense.

She earned her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from USC’s Marshall School of Business. Outside of work, Diana enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
